I have followed all the steps listed on the apple support page for connecting iPhone and a Mac for AirDrop, and still my iPhone and my MacBook Pro will not connect and allow AirDrop. I was able to do it previously between this MacBook Pro and an old iPhone, but now with a new iPhone SE, AirDrop no longer works. Any ideas?

Thank you for trying to help, but I have checked those items. Still my iPhone and MacBook Pro won't connect. It's really odd. I've never had this problem before with other, older iPhones.
Any other ideas??
Neither will recognize that the other device is available.
When I go into the bluetooth settings, I see each listed as a device on the bluetooth list of the other, but when I tell them to connect, they attempt and then ultimately say "not connected."
Make sure that AirDrop is on the right setting (Everyone/Contacts Only/Off) and that WiFi and Bluetooth are enabled.
Is it failing to send the files, or does it just flat out not recognize that there is a device available?
