I have been working on TurboTax on my MAC desktop. Sometimes I leave in the middle to take a break. When I come back the screen shows the APPLE logo and the progress bar is frozen. Isn’t it suppose to go into sleep mode after no one is using it? Nothing gets it finished loading. Help. This is happening regularly.

Oh, sorry. I didn't realize it was totally stuck. I thought you meant it restarted randomly, then went back to normal.

I read that article. I never tried the safe mode yet. I just don’t want to lose my info on TurboTax—this is the third time this happened. I previously just shut down the computer with the power button. But each time I had to begin all over because my info was lost on TurboTax.

Safe Mode is used for troubleshooting issues. I've used it before.
Safe Mode is exactly what you're used to seeing on your Mac, but some things are disabled, like some graphics features, in order to troubleshoot.
What apple device do I download EtreChek to? My computer is stuck on the opening screen with the Apple logo. Progress bar is showing about 3/4 uploaded. So how do I download your recommended app?
