My microphone on my text app on my iPhone is not working. Any suggestions? When I press the microphone icon to record my voice,, the little bars come across the page as if it’s recording, but no text appears

When sending a text, I have always just spoken into the phone after pressing the record icon and my voice is recorded as words and the words are written in the body of the text. Now nothing comes out written.
The audio message on iMessage is not voice-to-text. It simply records and sends the recording.
