the arrival of a health system on the clock icon

I do not wish to set a sleep schedule; I simply wish to be able to set an alarm time. This app is intrusive and to impose it on everyone is ludicrous and irritating and is denying me choice of how I use my phone.

I am finding a number of Apple updates to be simply be a waste of time, making the use of the phone far less efficient. More is not always better and we are not all desperate to outdo other people.

Such a shame, I now find myself advising people not to buy one.

When I first chose to buy this phone I was delighted with it. It made communication with my family and friends very easy and it acted as a reassuring safety feature when I was out alone in the country side with my dog.

However, I came into the technology at almost 80 with a wish to become reasonably competent. It is a challenge for me as I @ do not speak the language “ and also because I have some learning difficulty which makes it hard for me to follow instructions.

Also there is no local opportunity for me to receive instruction.

Fortunately some kind sauce has sent me a clear process to follow and my problem with the alarm is resolved. For this I send my thanks.

My comment about not wanting to be seen to be envious of those who enjoy updating was triggered by the advert I saw recently on the television, such a sad reason for buying such a useful item of equipment. I did not mean to demean those who choose to do so and send apologies if this has happened.

I do understand the snappy retort, but ask you to remember that you are not walking in my shoes.

Thank you to all those who helped

So why then are you using it? Use the alarm in the regular clock app. It hasn't changed much in the last decade.

Remember that people tend to respond to you in the way that you present yourself. When someone makes an angry, disdainful post, people tend to respond in kind. On the other hand, if you ask a direct question with an open mind (e.g. I don't want to use sleep tracking or the health app. How do I just set a regular alarm?) you'll find that people are far less likely to give you snarky answers.

And, even though you didn't respond to me to let me know my solution helped, you're welcome.

Sorry, I thought I had, but just an example of how easily I become confused.

Your comment about presentation was well deserved, I am too fond of telling my. children that if you smile at people they are more likely smile back. Fortunately you can't see this very red face.

Well, I have never been on a forum before but if anyone has thug to suggest ways in which I could improve my capability, eg, two screens on at the same time, or other useful usages please feel free to offer.

Thank you, back to the garden, I am are at home there.

Have a pleasant evening
