”Hey Siri” doesn’t give a voice feedback. But Siri turns on, the screen turns on and listens. The setting on Siri & Search ->Siri Responses is set to “Always”.
Earlier it used to give responses like “Uh-Huh” or “Yes”. Not nothing.
Note: If you just says "Hey Siri" there will not be any voice responses.
What happened if you says "Hey Siri, what time is it?"
That’s true. However, Siri has become more streamlined, as I said. I never noticed, because I always said “Hey Siri, what time is it?”, so I didn’t notice the change until someone pointed it out.
Alexa has always worked that way; “Alexa, set a 15 minute timer”.
I guess it doesn’t make sense to on the watch. But when I drive my motorcycle with my Airpods, the noise will sometimes mess with Siri. So it doesn’t hurt to have a feedback option, so that I don’t have to keep repeating the commands.
Siri has been streamlined. Say “Hey Siri” and continue with your question immediately. No need to wait for a response.
E.g., "Hey Siri, what’s tomorrow’s weather?"
When I ask a specific question, Siri replies. But before the update, just a “Hey Siri” would get me a feedback like “Yes ? “
The feedback helps when I use the Airpods or whenever I’m driving.
I use it driving and with AirPods also.
You can still notice that on an Apple Watch though. So maybe it is a bug in the OS. Hope Apple looks into this in their future update.
Yeah but sometimes due to ambient noise, Siri fails to listen. So it would be great to have feedback like before.
No it’s not a bug. It’s an improvement. On my watch I don’t say Hey Siri at all. I just life my wrist to my mouth and give a Siri command. This works with the Watch Series 4 and later.
