I've been facing the issue of having the battery drained to 0% from 100% while the MacBook is in sleep mode. It seems like the battery was drained within 3 hours when the Macbook is in clamshell mode. Does anyone have any solution to this?
I'm seeing the same problem with my new MacBook Air M1. I would like to keep my Safari tabs open all the time. Guess I'll have to leave the power cable connected to keep the battery charged. Too bad Safari in Big Sur doesn't have the Top Sites feature anymore.

What Apps are left Open / Active during this Sleep Mode? To minimize battery drain - suggest closing all Apps. Aside from this - are the Runaway Processes and or Apps? Open Activity Monitor >> View >> View All Processes and check for CPU usage and also check for Memory Usage. You might be able to identify what is consuming the power / battery before Sleep Mode in enabled.
Yes, as of now I'm shutting down my Macbook after every use so that I won't have to wake the Macbook up with an empty battery.
That’s a good idea. I will have to try that and see how it goes. But my battery snap shot goes from 50% to 0.
I have been having the same issues. The apps that I leave open are apps I have always left open. Sometime I have even closed everything and it still does it!
I've actually closed all the apps that is running before transiting the Macbook into sleep mode. I've tried to check activity monitor but it doesn't show any apps consuming huge power.
