I want to recover deleted text messages but it said I have to reset my phone. Will this affect all devices that uses the same Apple ID?

resetting one device will not affect other devices.

but make sure you understand this before going thru the trouble of restoring:

go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud and check the switch position for Messages

If the switch is ON, then you cannot recover your deleted messages (no need to read any further)

If the switch is OFF, then you might be able to recover your messages IF you have an iPhone backup that contains the messages you are trying to recover. In which case you'd need to restore your iPhone to that backup. In doing so, you'd likely lose some data between now and whenever your backup occurred.

Restoring from iCloud and iTunes/Finder backup files is always the best solution if you don’t mind losing the data generated after the last backup and you are sure that the deleted text messages were backed up.

If you don’t want to reset your iPhone, download one of the 18 free tools in the reviews and make full use of it: checking whether the lost messages were included in the backup files or using the free preview function to view the information in the found messages. If you don’t need to restore the messages to your device or save them to your computer, the free functions are enough.
