Help, my calendar has billions of notifications, not exaggerating

idk why but today i got so many notifications in the app icon of ical, but none of them became popups and they suddenly went brrr. what should i do and how to clear them? when i open the app it hangs after a minute.

To get started, check if these are spam event invitations with your iCloud account online: Report a junk calendar event invitation on iCloud.com


If you don't see the events online there, check with any other accounts you have set up in Calendar.


Also, restart your Mac in safe mode, and see if you're able to launch the Calendar app there: How to use safe mode on your Mac
