someone stole my iPhone 11 Promax and i can't locate it through find my iPhone? why?? its saying it is offline, I was even using google maps when the guy grabbed it and still cant locate it. i thought that even if the phone was off or the sim was taken out it still could be tracked, how else can i track my stolen iphone??

Make a police report and ask your carrier to blacklist the device so it can't be used.
You answered your own question. A phone which is offline can't be tracked. To be tracked, three things must be true.
If any of the above are not met, the phone cannot be tracked.
yea i just think that defeats the purpose. because if someone steals an iPhone they're not gonna turn it on to use it, they're gonna most likely just scrap it and use it for parts. because they know its no use to them unless icloud lock can be taken off?
i really just wanted to find it first sigh
Guess no one has figured out how to reach a device which is not powered on. The reality is once stolen, most iPhone's never make it back to the owner.
