So APPLE's new program will not allow me to use a lot of old apps... like iPhoto any advice as to how I can view my photos?
What is a good app to get from the APP Store to view my photos?

iPhoto was replaced by the Photos app in 2015. The Photos app is installed on your Mac. If you hold down the option key while opening the Photos app on your Mac, you can select your iPhoto library and it will convert and open it.
