Keep NAS drive connected on resume or reboot

How do I configure my mac to restore a connection to a NAS device on resume from sleep or reboot?

I asked the NAS manufacturer about this and their reply was: "a security feature of modern versions of Windows and MAC OS is that network shares need to be remounted after a reboot (or sleep). This

behaviour comes from the Computers rather then from the NAS side of the network. It may be possible to do this, Apple support will be able to advise."

I have a Retina MacBook Pro mid 2012 running Catalina 10.15.7 (19H114)

Looks like the answer is as follows:

• Open System Preferences.

• Select Users &Groups.

• Click Login Items.

• Click +.

• Navigate to NAS

• Highlight the relevant share to automatically mount

• Click Add.
