Table style in numbers

Is it any way possible to create a new style, a pure blanc table in numbers?

I tried everything, nothing works. De description supplied by apple isn't working, nothing at all!

Thx

Here is a screen cot of a portion of a sheet containing two tables, neither of which contains any data. The two tables are both selected to show the row and column Reference tabs:

Here's a second screen shot of the same tables when they are not selected (or otherwise activated):

The upper table shows as close as I got to an 'invisible table' with a table containing one Header Row and one Header Column.

The lower table is one with no Header rows and no Header columns.

For each, select the table, then

  • open the Format Inspector and set all cell fills and borders to none.

  • change to the Table section. set the Table outline to none and set the Grid lines blocks to not show any grid lines.

The blue Gridlines block applies to header rows and columns, and is inactive on the selected (second) table. One of the controls in this block would also not change to 'inactive' (white) when the rest were all inactive. YMMV.

Barry
