I like my start page in Safari and would like to make it my home page also. Is this possible? If yes, how?

Do you have a Set to Current Page button below the Homepage box that you can click? When you have the start page open, have you tried copying the address in the Search/URL bar, then going to Preferences/General, and pasting that is the Homepage box?
New windows or tabs can open with your desired home page, yes.
Preferences > General
That's ok. Navigate to the page you want to open, then "Set to Current Page".
the "home" button is different from the "start page" button. go into Safari>View and choose "customize toolbar."
then in the popup, drag and drop the "start page" button onto the toolbar.

Thanks for your quick response! When I go to my start page and then go into Preferences>General, their is no URL in the Homepage section to click on and set to Current Page.
I have it the way you suggested with the Homepage blank and when I click the Home icon, nothing comes up. Its looking for a URL and the start page does not have a url.
if i understand you correctly, you want the safari 14 start page itself to be your home page. if that' s the case open the safari preferences. choose the general tab. then set "new windows open with" and "new tabs open with" to "start page"
There is no URL with the start page and I think that is the problem and the reason why the Set to Current Page is greyed out.
