Sent emails of Gmail account - Vanished

im using the Apple Email app.

suddenly my sent emails disappeared (on the PC - web i see them all)

even more disturbing is the fact that when i send an email and the other party replies i cant see what i sent

just figured this out.

i had to go to gmail - manage labels - check off on the sent emails as SHOW in IMAP
