There are tons of these Pages, Numbers, and Keynote crashing, and failing to open new and old documents reported in the Pages for Mac support community. The usual approaches to solving Pages misadventures have not appeared to work there. Unless an application package has been damaged by "cleaner" software, I have seen no benefit to deleting Pages and downloading it again.
Yet, I upgraded a 2014 MacBook Air from Mojave to Big Sur (11.0.1), and then updated Pages, Numbers, and Keynote from v10.3.1 to v10.3.5 (Keynote v10.3.8) without any issues at all with these applications crashing, or failure to create new, or open old documents. I simply cannot recreate the issues others have experienced.
I also have a new M1 mini with 11.0.1 and as part of the first boot setup process, I used migration assistant with a Mojave Time Machine drive. The same versions of these Apple applications as are on my Air, just work as they should.

Try rebooting in Recovery Mode ( Command + r ) immediately on startup. Run Disk Repair. Restart in Safe Mode ( Shift key ) immediately at startup. Loads very slowly. Let it run 5 - 10 minutes. Restart in Normal Mode. See it it fixes things.
Oh yes.
It is not the applications themselves, but the user environment, and most likely the com.apple.iWork.Pages container in the local Library — for some unknown reason. It gets more complicated than just removing that location when the user may have added several years of custom templates to it.
Thanks @Dialabrain,
I found the error. Maybe is a permission problem.
In fact I tried to create new user and the problem disappeared.
Very thanks for your support!
Take care,
Giuseppe
Makes sure they are up to date. Pages & Numbers @ 10.3.5, Keynote @ 10.3.8.
Yes, I updated three weeks ago. Is so strange that all 3 apps doesn't work now. Started 1 weeks ago numbers, now key and pages too :(. When you open, crush and sent me the report to sento apple.
Well, the update to Keynote only came out 2 days ago.
Yes, I know :( Thanks however for help,
You're welcome. FWIW, you could try uninstalling them then re-install.
You're welcome. Glad it's fixed.
Lucky for the user it's fixed. 😎
Indeed. They work on my Macs.
