Apple Motion won't import PSD file
I'm trying to import a layered PSD file into motion, but it keeps appearing black on the screen. I can see all the layers, and it's definitely set to colour rather than alpha

Hi
It might be because the psd file is not 8bit color. I had this same issue before and changing to 8bit color solved it for me.

Does this help?
There (used to be) a Preference setting in Photoshop — I think in General — to "Maximize Compatibility" (or something equivalent — it's been awhile — I refuse to pay a subscription.) That should always be set if you're saving PSDs for use in other apps.
Thanks for the help everyone! Finally managed to get it to open, the file needed to be both 8bit and in RGB. No issues with it now.
I checked, it's already 8bit, still having the same issue
Do you mind posting a link to the psd file?
I can see if it works on my system.
