I tried converting my SVG into PDF, and then importing the PDF into Motion, but the PDF renders pixelated....

Yes, you get full control of all the points.
I just downloaded a sample svg file of a car, exported from Pixelmator as a Motion project, and I dozens of layers, each with the original paths, and the ability to control the points and everything. Pretty amazing

You need to select the media tab (center top of layers column), then select the Media tab, then uncheck Fixed Resolution. That should fix it.
You're welcome!
If you'd like to do a lot more with SVG in Motion, you can actually upload your SVG Paths to a *free* font making site like https://icomoon.io/app and convert your SVG Paths to font characters. THEN, you can use them to build 3D Models!

Going off in a slightly different direction, but one which may also be useful in some instances: if you own Pixelmator Pro, you can open an SVG file, and export directly as a Motion project. The potential use of this is that, if you do it like that, you will have access to each vector object in the SVG as a separate layer in Motion, which you then can animate in any way you like.
Wow that is pretty nifty. I use Figma for my vector designs, but Pixelmator Pro appears to handle both vector and bitmaps quite well. And at a reasonable fixed price (no subscription), its capability to translate those designs as vector shapes in Motion is indeed quite powerful. I think I'm sold lol thanks for sharing that!
Thank you! I had totally forgotten about that.
Nice!
Good to know! Are you also able to edit the points in the separate vector layers within Motion?
