View or download attachments in Notes on iCloud.com

You can attach items to notes by using the Notes app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac that is signed in with the same Apple ID. You can then view and download those attachments — photos, audio files, maps, iWork files and more — in Notes on iCloud.com.

Note: In locked notes on iCloud.com, you see placeholders for attachments instead of actual attachment content. To view attachments in locked notes, use the Notes app on your device with iOS 9.3, iPadOS 13, OS X 10.11.4 or later that is signed in with the same Apple ID.

View or play photos, audio files, maps and other attachments

1. In Notes on iCloud.com, select a note that contains the attachment you wish to view or play.
2. Double-click the attachment. 
3. The attached content is downloaded to your computer, opened in the appropriate application, or both.

View and download scanned documents

If you are using upgraded notes, you can view and download documents that you scanned using the Notes app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

1. In Notes on iCloud.com, select a note that contains a scanned document.
2. Do either of the following:

• • View the document: double-click the thumbnail of the scanned document.
  • Download the document: double-click the thumbnail of the scanned document, then click .

To view and download another document, click its thumbnail in the Scanned Documents window.

View and edit attached iWork documents

If you are using upgraded notes, you can view and edit Pages, Numbers and Keynote documents you attached using the Notes app on your devices that use upgraded notes.

1. In Notes on iCloud.com, select a note that contains a Pages, Numbers or Keynote attachment.
2. Double-click the attachment.
3. A copy of the attachment is saved in iCloud Drive and opens in Pages for iCloud, Numbers for iCloud or Keynote for iCloud. To learn more about iCloud Drive, see What is iCloud Drive?
4. Important: Any changes you make affect only the copy of the document saved in iCloud Drive and not the document attached to the note.

sign into iCloud.com on your device.

then go to the note, and click to download.
