Try Both of These:
I. Go Here: If your Mac Starts Up to an Apple Logo or Progress Bar - Apple Support
II. See if your Hard drive is Failing:
- Boot: into Recovery Mode (Hold Down: [command + R] upon boot)
- Select: Disk Utility
- Select: the Drive
- Click: First Aid button
