Can you help me get my iphotos back on my mac book air

just downloaded MacOS Catalina

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

iPhoto does no longer run on Catalina.

But you can open the iPhoto Library in the Photos.app instead.

The first time you launch Photos, the Photos.app will open your last used iPhoto Library and create a Photos Library from it and you should be seeing all your photos.


If Photos does not open your main iPhoto Library, quit Photos, if it is running.

Then hold down the options key ⌥ while launching Photos again. Release the key when the library chooser dialog appears. Then select the library you want to open.
