I don't use cloud for contacts, only Yahoo. For some reason, changes made to contacts in Yahoo don't flow down to my iphone 8 or my ipad. If I delete Yahoo account on devices, contacts are gone, but as soon as I add it back, it brings back the same contacts that were there before deletion. No changes in Yahoo are reflected.
Tried just about everything I could think of. Restarting, etc.
Which is your default Contacts Account?
yahoo is the default. contacts only sync from yahoo.
if i make a change to a contact on the phone, then delete the account and add it back, that change is there. however, it doesn't show up in yahoo (as I think the sync is one way, down to the phone). so then, where did this updated information come from?
also, I added a new contact in yahoo and it did show up. deleting it from yahoo also worked. but the changes do not.
what puzzles me is if i remove the account, then add it back, it gets contacts from somewhere, but not what i have in yahoo. where does it come from then?
