Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Put new sim in iPhone 7 ported old number.

Changed carriers,put new sim in,new carrier ported old number over.Old number works for calls but new number shows for iMessage and FaceTime but cannot change it.Apple ID account shows old number.

So in essence I need to get rid of the new sim number from iMessage etc but cannot do it either via phone,account,support etc As they do not cover this problem

Have you waited 24 hours since entering the old number in the new SIM to allow time for the change to sync? Have you tried signing out of Messages/FaceTime, restarting the phone, and then logging back in?
