If I erased all data from iPhone, how do you restore data from iCloud?

Yes you'll need to enter an Apple ID in order to download or purchase games.
I suggest you set up their own Apple ID and use family sharing, so that you are in control of what they have acmes to.

Firstly and very importantly, only delete your phone from Settings âž” General âž” Reset âž” Erase All Contents & Settings.
Then when the phone restarts, follow the instructions, sign in with your Apple ID and choose the backup you wish to restore from.
I’ve followed the instructions to delete. I want to give phone to children to play games. I’ve removed the SIM card so it’s not going to be used as a phone. Do I need to set up? Do I need to connect to iCloud?
