Powerbeats3 not Pausing Apple Music on Mac

I recently subscribed to Apple Music and I'm listening it for the first time on my MacBook Pro 2017. I noticed that my beats do not pause my music when I press the pause button, but volume control still works perfectly fine. I also checked the skip and rewind functions (since these are all controlled by the play/pause button) and those do not work in Apple Music either.

I then opened up Spotify to check that as well and play/pause, skip, rewind all work perfectly fine there.

I've also been able to use Apple Music successfully with these headphone, with no issues, on my iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. this is the first device that I've had an issue with.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Thank you.
