eGPU RX 5700 XT not working properly on macOS 10.14.6

I have an Akitio Node Titan eGPU case with ASRock RX 5700 XT Challenger D 8G OC installed in my setting

My device is MacBook Pro 13" 2017, Core i5-7276U, 8GB RAM, 4 Thunderbolt 3 with Touch Bar

I have my MacOS Mojave running on my Apple built in SSD, where Catalina installed on portable nvme drive.


The PD is as promise to deliver 85W of power to my Mac. However my Mojave did not recognise the eGPU setting. On "About This Mac" under "Display" tab only show the Intel Iris iGPU, where in "System Information..." under Thunderbolt section it display my Node Titan is connected.

So if I hot unplug/turn off my eGPU power, my MacBook notify me that I did not remove my eGPU properly. I have find no way to access the integrated chip icon on my menu bar to remove my eGPU correctly tho.


If I run on Catalina, everything work fine.

There is reason why I'm keeping a copy of Mojave as some of the software that I use for my work are still 32 bit.


Please help!
