How to download/transfer locally-saved emails from the iPad Mail app?

My email account (I believe POP3) was hacked and all my emails were deleted. However, I found that copies of these emails are still stored within my iPad Mail folder (as I have not connected to the mail server there recently). I can't reconnect to the server as this would delete the emails and I haven't backed up the emails to iCloud.

How can I download/export and transfer these old emails from my Mail app to my PC (or Mac if necessary)? Even using iTunes and APowerManager, I've been unable to access data in the Mail app. I also can't do anything that would involve reconnecting to the mail client.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
