Hi
My Ipad Pro 11” Magic Keyboard will not remap the escape key. Using the SETTINGS : GENERAL : HARDWARE KEYBOARD ; MODIFIER option I reset CAPS LOCK (I never use it! 😉) or Control.
While the screen shows it has been remapped it has no effect.
Thoughts?

What is your expectation of the ⎋ (Escape) key functionality? It is very limited on iPad. Just about the only use case is to escape from a full screen video in Safari.
Thanks for your note. I was thinking the escape key backed you up a screen in any app.
Its odd as there has been so much commentary in reviews about the missing escape key and how to remap it. Seems pretty pointless if its only function is what you correctly noted.
