Internal camera MacBook Air

I was using the camera to document kids homework. Then there was an OS update. When I logged in after update installed and tried through the school's homework program (Seesaw) to take a photo, the message came back that this device has no camera. I don't know how to get the camera this device obviously has to work...?

I have seen enough sporadic reports about that to make me suspect it's a bug Apple introduced with that update. Possible solutions involve booting Safe Mode, followed by restarting normally.

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac

If that doesn't immediately solve the problem reinstalling macOS has also been reported to fix it.

How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery

Neither one of those options will introduce additional problems or make anything worse, so try them in that order.

Another report substantially similar to yours: Webcam not working on Macbook Pro

In it, an Apple Community Specialist with a superlative record suggested creating a test User Account, so try that also. In addition to his recommendations, other potentially helpful actions involve resetting the subject Mac's SMC as well as its NVRAM.
