I forgot my Iphone X passcode and my phone is not backed up. How do I reset my phone without losing data.

You don't. Once you have forgotten the passcode, the only way to recover the device is to restore it. That is a security feature to wipe all data so someone cannot try to brute force your passcode. Of course now is not the time to realize you don't have a backup. You should have a backup schedule to minimize your losses.
