face id is not available

I got a whole new iPhone xs max but in parts and the face id says "face id is not available". I know its because there some sort of authentication of the face id chip so is it possible to fix? and if not how much apple charges for it? do they even fix it? thanks

What does you got a whole new Xs Max, but in parts mean? Is this a replacement phone you got from Apple or did you replace parts on the phone? If you replaced parts, Apple doesn't sell parts, so they wouldn't be authentic Apple parts and if that is the case, there's likely nothing you can do to get Face ID up and running.

Please clarify what you meant.
