How to delete an old number off of iMessage

Hi,

I recently went on a trip and purchased a temporary SIM card. After returning home and putting my local sim back In. My iMessage would continue to send messages form the number associated with the temperature sim. I’m unable to delete the number. Is it possible to delete this number from my iMessage.
