Call about hacked iCloud account

Just got a call from Apple.com (no number posted) telling me that my ICloud account was hacked. Is this legit? The caller wanted me to log into something called TeamViewer. I refused and hung up. I've heard that a lot of accounts got hacked, but thought I would ask here before I do anything else.

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
