Why can my recorder on my ipad only record the last five seconds of the video, but i set it in settings that I only get the original videos?

If You go to control centre, enable screen recording, then you can record your screen. Somehow, when I start recording my screen for approximately 17 minutes, and i stop recording my screen. When it has been saved to my photos, i watch it but it only has the last 5 seconds before i stopped recording. I also set in settings that i ONLY get the original videos. (This is for zmclearan)
