Extending a network via Ethernet using two AE’s

Hello,

i have one AE in my home and want to add a second AE to my garage via Ethernet to extend my Wifi. To set up the garage AE should the Ethernet cable be plugged into the office AE and

should the settings mirror the office AE ‘s ?

Thanks,

Mot

The second AE does not need to be plugged into the first.. just as long as it is plugged into main router or switch connected to it is fine.

The setup is pretty well automatic on the latest Airport utility.. as long as it is plugged in before you start it will take over and do the task of mirrored setup for you.
