Yesterday out of the blue, the locking function on my phone stopped working. My power button is working, I can use Siri with it, restart with it, and everything else with it except for locking it. I've tried using assistive touch to no prevail, and force restarting my phone, also to no prevail. I am using an iPhone X running iOS 12.3.1.

It seems odd that your power button works for everything else except locking the screen. All I can suggest is to get an appointment at an Apple Store for an evaluation.

I have an appointment scheduled but I really want to find a fix beforehand but thank you for the response
