I received a message on my iphone that my Apple ID and phone number were being used on a new iPad

If you were signing into your iPad when you received the message, there is probably nothing to worry about.

If you weren't signing in, are you sure the message is legitimate? Does it contain a link for you to sign in somewhere? It may be a scam.
