Apple Home status delay for Matter LIFX bulbs

I have LIFX matter-enabled light bulbs and when I turn them off (via the wall switch) they still show ON in Apple Home for upwards of 10 minutes. However in the LIFX app they show OFF rather quickly (< 1 minute). I also have older non-matter-enabled LIFX bulbs and they show OFF right away in Apple Home as well as the LIFX app.

Any thoughts on my Matter-enabled light bulbs would have such a delay in Apple Home? It obviously is related to Apple Home because the LIFX app is reporting the bulbs in a OFF state rather quickly.

These are my first experience with any Matter related devices in Apple Home so not sure what to expect.
