You don’t. You simply don’t use it. Your iPhone will not attempt to connect with a satellite service unless you specifically tell it to. And it depends on your carrier as to whether it can be used to make calls. For Apple’s beta service you can only connect and make SOS emergency calls when both Cellular and WiFi are not available.
