How do I remove a persistent dotted line while handwriting with Markup on iPhone 12?

Lately when I’m using a markup tool to hand write something, a dotted line appears underneath and wont let me proceed and I have no idea how to make it go away, making it extremely frustrating.

(iphone 12, latest iOS)

Can someone please tell me how to get rid of this?

Ridding of Dotted Lines on iPad:

Go here: iPadOS 18 Notes - How do I turn off spell check for handwriting? - Apple Community

It mentions what to do, with a restart required. After the restart it reportedly reappears in about 2 minutes. So, Apple has yet to make a feature for this to be turned off.

Provide Apple Feedback:

Recommend this as an idea to Apple.  Apple may not get back you, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what their customers prefer, and what to consider in iPadOS versions to come. Apple will know nothing of your ideas, if you don't provide them to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPad - Apple
  2. Select: "Feature Request" for "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that you think this should be an option, and why. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed form there as necessary

I’m not using an iPad though.

EDITED:

Sorry, I’m not sure how to edit my original reply but thank you for letting me know about that.. I mostly use Markup on pictures but hopefully there will be some kind of update that includes a better option.
