iPad Pro move/resize buttons cover app menus in multitasking

I have a 2020 iPad Pro with iOS 26. When using multiple apps the move/resize “red yellow green button” covers menus I need to access on some apps. The only work around I’ve found is to take the app to full screen which relocates the move/resize button from covering the menu options. It would be nice to have the option to relocate the move/resize button over when apps are not full screen. I’m guessing it’s an oversight when some apps are designed.

Many third-party Apps have yet to be updated, by their Developer, to accommodate the UI design changes introduced with iPadOS 26.x. A couple of years ago, when Apple introduced the three-dot multitasking button at top-centre of App windows, some Developers were then also slow to update/adapt their Apps.

iPadOS 26 has been available to Developers since April 2025 - allowing adequate time to adapt Apps in readiness for the production release in September 2025. Despite the predictable and regular cycle of major version updates, some smaller Developers "drag their feet".

If you notice problems with UI elements of third-party Apps with iPadOS 26, you would be best advised to seek assistance from the respective Developer. For paid Apps where a Developer's income is at stake, a gentle enquiry might be all that is required to stir some update activity. 🙂
