Erratic scrolling in YouTube app only on AppleTV with physical remote on tvOS 26

Since around the 26.1 tvOS update, I have very erratic scrolling on the YouTube app only on my older AppleTV 4K and standard AppleTV devices when using the remote control. When scrolling across or down, the scroll will often change directions between scroll attempts. It usually starts out scrolling in the correct direction but will then spontaneously switch to scrolling in the opposite direction. This occurs on both of my AppleTVs but only with the remote. With the remote app on my iPhone, scrolling is working correctly. All other scrolling is working normally in both the Home Screen and other apps. I have submitted a bug report to Google but have received no response. Is anyone else seeing this behavior? I have rebooted the AppleTVs, have logged out and in, and have uninstalled and reinstalled. This weird scrolling occurs whether I am logged in or not to my Google account. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

It’s not just you. I noticed this issue within the last week or so. I’m thinking it’s an issue with the YouTube app itself since the issue doesn’t occur on the Home Screen or within other apps. I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling, completely resetting the Apple TV box, and thoroughly cleaning the remote.

First try quitting the YouTube App and restarting your Apple tv

I’ve had the same issue in YouTube since updating the OS. If I try to scroll right it sometimes goes left other times goes right.

I tried all those things, multiple times. I am just trying to find out if anyone else is having erratic scrolling just in the YouTube app.

My initial post made that clear I thought. Yes, I have deleted the app multiple times and reinstalled it multiple times and it still shows the erratic scrolling behavior.

Also having this issue. Nothing has fixed it yet. Using the glass touch apple tv remote.
