Getting rid of update-macos.com pop up Notifications

I've been getting this annoying pop up notifications from update-macos.com. I have gone into the Notifications Settings and turned off permissions for Notifications but do I need to Remove the item altogether as has been suggested by other experts?

I'm on MacOS Sequois 15.6.1 and I don't see any "Remove" button anywhere, unlike is shown in the other responses on the community.

Am I ok in simply turning off Notifications or is this scam site still doing nefarious things in the background?
