How can I find and listen to non-mainstream music from specific years or decades on Apple Music?

Looking for thought or direction, Apple Music is great could be better y can’t I listen to let’s say every song and group that came out in that calendar yr (or decade 2000’s etc) as I am one who loves to discover and find new music all genres, apple only give radio hits and label groups main stream attention in those search categories like decades I don’t like most of the mainstream stuff then nor I would now… I have to find it else where other sites platforms and then really fingers crossed that group has made it to the iTunes world any enlightenment would be great.. “think differently” use to hit harder with apple

Syingling,

The Apple Music catalog has over 100,000,000 tracks, which obviously includes a huge amount of non-mainstream material. However, they don't make it easy to search by year, and if you use a lazy search term like "1990s," you will get lists of popular songs. Rather, search on artists, songs, or albums that you already know, and expand from there. Also, it is perfectly fine "to find it else where other sites platforms" and then search it in AM. You will have to be a little adventurous. You will find many gems to your liking among the 100,000,000 available songs.
