Calendar & Reminders widgets not refreshing on iOS 26.1

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the stock Calendar and Reminders widgets after updating to iOS 26.1?

Ever since the update, my widgets seem to be "frozen." They don't sync or update in the background at all. For example, if I complete a task or add a new event, the widget on my Home Screen still shows the old info. It only updates after I manually tap the widget to open the app. Once the app is open, it syncs fine, but then it gets stuck again immediately after.

It’s really frustrating because the whole point of widgets is to see info at a glance without opening the app constantly.

I’m on an iPhone 16e. Is this a known bug with 26.1, or has anyone found a fix for this?
