My contacts suddenly disappeared from my iphone 17 promax, i changed my mobile a month ago, my contacts were there till yesterday afternoon and then suddenly many names just disappeared.

I switched from iphone 13 to 17 promax, it was working well, i just updated the IOS yesterday and BOOM! many contacts got lost. Could it be because i didn’t put the physical sim in from iPhone 13?
i have checked icloud, outlook, i followed the videos, nothing is helping.
i don’t know what contacts got lost, its just that on whats app , where i had chat yesterday, only numbers are appearing without any names.
