MacBook Air M4 battery drains excessively in Sleep mode

Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue where my Mac (Air M4 macOS Sequoia 15.6.1) consumes a lot of battery while it is in Sleep mode. When I leave the machine overnight, the battery can drop by up to 30%, even though the Mac is supposed to be sleeping.

When I check the Battery section in System Settings, I can see that the battery is still being used even when the screen is off and not active.

Is this normal behavior, or could there be a background process or setting causing excessive battery drain during sleep? I would really appreciate any advice or solutions.
