Live Translation requires an iPad (or iPhone) that supports Apple Intelligence. Apple Intelligence runs on iPads with an M-series chip (M1 or later) or the A17 Pro chip, specifically the iPad Pro (M1 and newer), iPad Air (M1 and newer), and iPad mini (A17 Pro and newer).
