Siri audio cuts out during CarPlay responses

When I ask Siri a question via CarPlay, the audio cuts out in the middle of her response every single time I react with her. I thought maybe this was a bluetooth issue with my iphone 13 but I have recently upgraded to the 17 pro and have the same issue. The phone is on iOS version 26.1. My car is a 2025 Buick. It happens with good coverage in town and when driving in rural areas.
