Touchbar not displaying on 2022 MacBook Pro M2

I have a 2022 Macbook pro M2 and the touchbar is not showing any display but still registers controls such as mute. I have tried restarting and using the code "sudo pkill TouchBarServer; sudo pkill ControlStrip" in terminal and still nothing shows. What else can I do?
