Email appearance causing dizziness.

The new update changes the appearance of email. Now it sort of starts out blurry then quickly fades in to being clear. As someone with severe dizziness problems, this is a major issue. Does anyone know how I can adjust that?

Perhaps to investigate with some depth into 'accessibility

and settings', to find if the Apple OS version adjusts these.

The settings in iOS iPhone (and iPadOS) vary and have

more so, after most recent upgrade levels w/ hardware.

Explore the Settings and iPhone OS Features; & could

take a lot of time and patience to find and use Steps.

An appointment with an Apple Store to ask an expert

for more fact finding, may be a Genius visit in itself.

A secondary approach might be to look casually into

some medical situations that may (or not) be useful to

consider. As science & people experiencing dizziness

have a variety of shared experience; while causes vary.

'Vertigo' among others, with inner ear and associated

childhood & adulthood problems, are hard to diagnose.

Words like 'lazy eye' make me wonder what's for sale!

A cross-section I stumbled across has several ideas.

And used duckduckgo too, in Mac browser, to search.

Various perhaps helpful ideas, are among results here:

~ While none of them at face value, would I expect to

fulfill cures by themselves: Accommodation Disorders.

This site link, suggests three possible causes. Yet has

no distinction between their aim, or other goals within?

Certainly: businesses may exploit some, if they desire.

Your iPhone has varying access to helpful ideas & Tips.

You may consider a device with full keyboard access..?

Plus larger display, to help vision issues. Apple devices,

can 'hand-off'-- or use Continuity, to Share contents.

Harder to determine, by oneself, the best iOS Settings

on how to set up iPhone OS; or also try iPadOS devices.

I use desktop Mac; and newer iPhone can share access.

But other issues result, from cross-usage in my instance.

I’ll go forward and likely decide that Apple simply isn’t the best phone for me since this change.

Be aware that the Transparency and Blur effects are being adopted by most platforms. With Android phones, their new OS being Android 16 is now rolling out with those same effects and the only difference is that they call it Materials Design 3.

Not trying to stop you from switching platforms, just wanted you to be aware so you can make an informed decision. Beyond Apple and Android, there are just a few platforms that use their own OS, but honestly do not know the direction they are going with their UI.

Sorry. This is my very first comment! iPhone 13 Pro. Yes, the tips were helpful. I’ll definitely be texting less often, which is unfortunate since I’m hearing impaired. Rather than rant and demand that Apple change their ways to suit me, I’ll go forward and likely decide that Apple simply isn’t the best phone for me since this change.

Many, MANY thanks.

I'm glad it helped a little. You may also find that you get used to it as time passes.

Is using Siri to text an option? It doesn't require looking at the phone much at all. "Siri, send a text to Theo." Siri will ask you what you want to say to Theo. "Meet me under the bridge at midnight." Then you tell Siri to send it. Obviously, this doesn't help with reading the texts but it's a start.

Best of luck with whatever device you decide best meets your condition. I would not stick with a device that does not meet my needs either. Maybe some professional medical advice would help with your condition.
